Founded in 1925, Metropolitan began with a simple commitment: to provide knitters with the tools and inspiration they need to bring their ideas to life. Over the decades, the company became a trusted name among machine knitters, known for its dedication to quality products, specialist knowledge, and personal service.
In 2021, Metropolitan entered a new chapter under new ownership and relocated its headquarters to Leeds, West Yorkshire. While embracing new opportunities, we remain firmly rooted in the values that have guided us for nearly a century—craftsmanship, creativity, education, and community.
